Director's Notes
The Community Theatre experience is a uniquely valuable one for everyone - a chance to make new friends, find talents and grow new wings. These talented actors have been hard at work (and at play) preparing and rehearsing for the run of this hilarious show. Each one of these actors brings a special form of humor, kindness and respect for the show and their characters. As a Director, I truly enjoy the entire process of a show, especially through the eyes of actors on stage for the first time (and we have few in this production). They remind me of the jubilation of entertainment, the excitement of story telling and a friendly reminder that it’s not about the size of an audience, but the joy we bring to the audience for each performance.
Working with the Cast and Crew of, DRINKING HABITS, has been a laughing ride from the start. I’ll just say it: Nuns are fun! Anywho, we are so fortunate to be part of the amazing community, where local business owners kindly say “yes,” when we ask for support.
We are immensely grateful. The renovations of The Burley Theatre are very exciting, yet also very tedious. Thank you all for the generous support and your patience as we watch the transformation of this piece of Burley history come to life.
Now sit back and enjoy the show. And for-the-love, LAUGH!!!

Dina Erling
Sister Philhamena
Dina Erling has a love for musical theater and is stepping out of her comfort zone and into a wimple and veil for her fourth production with the Mt. Harrison Heritage Foundation. Previous roles include Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn in The Music Man, the Stepmother in Into the Woods, and Aunt Eller in Oklahoma. Dina and her husband, Ty, were both raised in the area and chose it as the perfect place to raise their family. Now with their kids grown, Dina’s two perfect grandsons have become her new passion. By day, she works for Lee Family Broadcasting, selling radio advertising and chatting it up on-air daily from noon to seven. She also stays busy volunteering on the board for Simply Hope Family Outreach and serves as a board member for the Mini-Cassia Chamber of Commerce. Dina would like to thank everyone who helped bring this production to life and adds that the last eight weeks of nightly belly laughs have been an incredible amount of fun.

Kristi Pugh
Sister Augusta
Kristi Pugh is the licensed social worker for Countryside Care and Rehabilitation and Minidoka Memorial Hospital. She is the wife of Dr. Paul Pugh and the mother of two boys, Paul and Victor Pugh. She has been behind the scenes for most of the plays and productions last 6 years at Burley High School but has never been on the stage herself. She feels honored to be selected to be a part of the cast of Drinking Habits. Kristi loves all of her cast and crew members and they have been absolutely amazing to work with.

Ben Whipple

Ben is grateful for the chance to be a lot bit silly on these historic boards. He was probably a bit too serious (and steeped in blood) his last time under the glare of these lights. His beautiful wife and handsome sons have been wonderfully supportive and deserve their own round of applause. And a big thank you to you! Coming to the show and supporting community theatre in our amazing area is just the sort of thing people like you are so loved for.

Marianne Welch
Mother Superior
Marianne is thrilled to be a part of this hilarious show, Drinking Habits, put on by the Mount Harrison Heritage Foundation. This is just her second time on stage – you may have seen her in The Cemetery Club back in the Fall of 2019. Marianne travels a lot with her work as an independent sales rep, but is excited that her schedule allows her the flexibility she needs to be a part of this production. She wants to thank her actor son, Levi, for his support and invaluable coaching and encouragement. Marianne is also very appreciative of her husband Kevin, who is always supportive of whatever new adventure she takes on. Rehearsals have been a blast with this amazing cast and director and she’s confident you’re going to have a belly laughing good time!

Austin Silva

Saying Austin is excited for this show is an understatement. He grew up watching his older sister Emily become involved in many shows and grew up with the sound of musical numbers coming from her room. Never finding time to be in one himself however, he added it to his bucket list, soon to be forgotten... until one fateful phone call. Austin is now proud to act for the first time alongside his talented and hilarious castmates. Hopefully you all laugh as much as he has during its production.
