$100,000 from Idaho Heritage Trust
12/15/23 - The Burley Theatre was selected by the Idaho Heritage Trust to receive $100,000 in funding to support the restoration of our beloved building. The money provided by this award will go directly to restoring the elevation of the historic building including a complete cleaning, repair of the masonry, and restoration and preservation of the Art Deco, circa 1914, historic façade.

Façade Demolition Starts
3/16/24 - Getting closer! Be patient with us as the process to get funds from our grant is slow since there are a lot of steps involved. The grant we received from the Idaho Heritage Trust will cover masonry repair and replacing the doors (including restoring the center entrance to 4 doors rather than 1!). If we have any funding from the grant left after that, we will use it towards bringing the marquee and sign back!
$60,000 From Lions Club
4/5/24 - We are immensely grateful to the Burley Lions Club for their generous contribution towards the restoration of the Burley Theatre. This donation brings us one step closer to preserving this historical gem and creating a venue that will benefit our entire community. The repair and sealing of the roof will enable us to move forward with the interior work, with the goal of making the theatre a focal point for artistic expression and community gatherings.
